Gilligan Moss is killing it with the remixes right now. His remix of Glass Animals’ “Gooey” reached #1 on Hype Machine, and he’s applied the same subtlety and creativity to his latest endeavor, a beautiful rework of Christian Rich’s “Better To.”
You might recognize the name Christian Rich (aka LA-based twins Taiwo and Kehinde Hassan) from the production credits of Earl Sweatshirt’s Doris, but now they’re stepping out on their own, with a debut EP, SS 14 (pre-order here), coming out on Lucky Number on July 6.
Gilligan Moss has taken the first single from the EP, “Better To,” and transformed it into an expansive tropical trip, soothing and welcoming and totally transportive. Check it out below, along with the original and the Glass Animals remix.
