Twitter is an extraordinary resource that has changed the world. Information is now transmitted instantly. Missing something by just a few hours means you’re behind the curve, and likely also behind the meme curve of that same topic. There’s a whole new language and vocabulary that exists solely on Twitter. If you see an eggplant emoji, a picture of Rihanna, and the letters “BAE,” you know exactly what’s being insinuated. These are the hieroglyphics of 2014. There are parody accounts and subcultures of Twitter that older generations will never be able to understand.

Twitter also allows us to get firsthand glimpses into the minds of some of the most influential people in the world. But with so much access to a person’s thoughts, there is often backlash. An errant tweet can ruin a career or the opportunity for a job, and the excuse “my account was hacked” works only once… maybe twice. Athletes, musicians, and politicians have all learned the dangers of Twitter, and have learned to be cautious when tweeting out their true thoughts and feelings.

It’s rare to find someone with a high profile who removes all filters and freely tweets their own uncensored thoughts. Someone who doesn’t only use their account to list tour dates, album releases, and promote their Keek account. Someone who really gives us a genuine look into their mind. Someone like Plies.

Let’s take a look at some of the best (or just most ridiculous, depending on how you look at it) tweets that Plies has blessed Twitter with.
