Swedish duo JJ (formerly: jj) have always been masters of mystery, only releasing little tidbits of information about themselves, rarely doing interviews, and generally letting their shimmering, hip-hop influenced pop sound speak for itself. With only a few one-off singles since 2012, we were starting to wonder where Elin Kastlanderand Joakim Benon had gone, and earlier in May we found out—they’ve been putting together their new album V, their first full length in four years.
JJ announced their new album with a video and a typically obscure poem, and now we have the first new song from V. It’s called “All White Everything,” has lines like “all white everything, from my face to my wings,” and confirms that we should indeed be very excited about the new album.
