I have a really stupid sense of humor. Send me a video of a dog riding a Roomba with “Ridin’ Dirty” in the background and I will lose. My. Shit. So obviously, even at 26, I’m still a huge fan of prank calling. And before you roll your eyes and yell, “grow up! Get a life!” let me just point out that I’m actually in good company, because recently The Black Keys participated in some prank calling of their own.
The band recorded themselves calling various record labels posing to be Quartzazium, “a New Age artist from Rhode Island.” Their interactions are really entertaining, but the best part is that they call their own record label, Nonesuch, who promptly transfer them around the company. Pretty funny considering the label will release The Black Keys’ upcoming album in just under two weeks.
