Skepta ft. JME - "That's Not Me"

Listen to Skepta and JME's new song "That's Not Me," and see Skepta talk about his new album and collaboration with Blood Orange.

The UK continues to flourish musically, whether it’s female singers, bright house/pop crossovers who are taking over the world, or the constantly bubbling underground. Grime is just one part of that underground, and we’ve recently put the spotlight on grime veteran Ghetts’ debut album and producer Mr. Mitch with his exciting Gobstopper Records imprint.

Now, grime OG and Boy Better Know bossman Skepta has blessed us with the final version of a tune with his brother JME that was teased as a freestyle in the video below, where Skepta also talks about his new album Konichiwa and his collaboration with Blood Orange.

The final video for the track has a straight old school vibe, from the icy beat (produced by Skepta himself) to the Lord of the Mics-referencing walls in the backdrop at the beginning to the simple turntables and headphones used as a mic setup.

Check out “That’s Not Me,” preferably turned up loud above, and if you’re feeling it at all, check out our feature on 20 essential Wiley songs here.
