Just yesterday we saw behind the scenes video from the recording of Kelela, Tink, and DJ Dahi’s entry into Yours Truly x Addidas Songs from Scratch series, and now here’s the full song. Although the series has yielded excellent collaborations between Shlohmo and Jeremih, Jacques Green and Tinashe, Ryan Hemsworth and Starlito, and Nosaj Thing and Chance The Rapper, “Want It” is one of the very best yet.
Kelela and Tink tell a story of seduction in the club over DJ Dahi’s brilliantly restrained, bass-filled beat, and the result is a track that can stand proudly beside your favorite late ’90s/early 2000s R&B song. Check it out below.
