As one of the founding members of Wiley’s Roll Deep collective, Flowdan is a part of the UK’s rich underground, and is perhaps one of the more unique grime artists going. He’s been making moves quietly for a long time, even though many people only caught wind of him through The Bug’s seminal track, “Skeng.” With possibly the gruffest voice in grime, his latest, “No Gyal Tune,” pulls a lot of punches, and perhaps a kick or two as well. His upcoming debut EP Serious Business is due June 2 through Hyperdub.
