Darkside, aka Nicolas Jaar’s project with Dave Harrington, have just dropped their remix of St. Vincent’s “Digital Witness.” The spaced-out remix is appropriately Darkside-y, adding a healthy dose of ethereal atmosphere alongside a valiant beat. Sounding exactly like you might expect, it turns the original on its head, almost entirely removing the pop elements. It might not have the trumpy horns of the original, but it’s still an enjoyable slice of psychedelica regardless.
