Over the past couple of years, British electronic duo Face + Heel have supported acts like Matthew Dear, AlunaGeorge, When Saints Go Machine, and How To Dress Well. They’ve been keeping good company, and the music they’re making fits in with the swirling movement of electronic music into pop, rock, and styles more subtle than what many have associated with terms like “electronic” and “dance music” in past years. This is where strings and keys dance with synths and claps in perfect harmony.
“My Medyk” is the second song in a four-part series of songs called the Jennifer/Jessica Quartet, which tells one girl’s story from the perspective of her lover, ex, friend, and self.
