The lead-up to Damon Albarn’s forthcoming solo debut Everyday Robots continues. Today, Albarn released “Mr. Tembo,” a bright acoustic number accompanied by a powerful choir on the backing vocals, a collage of various instruments, and some spoken word action toward the end of the track.
If you listened to “Heavy Seas of Love,” another song that Albarn dropped recently, then you’ll recognize The Leytonstone City Mission Choir. The group once again adds their distinct flair to Albarn’s plainer vocal style. Listen to the track below.
