The English dream-pop outfit Wild Beasts have released a new track, “Sweet Spot,” from their forthcoming album, Present Tense. As always with Wild Beasts, the music is marked out by the moaning, almost androgynous vocals of lead singer, Hayden Thorpe, and the band’s expert abilities in song arrangement. Guitars, voices, and (somewhat surprisingly) bold synths all come together in one gorgeous blend on “Sweet Spot,” which has been complemented by a soothing and psychedelic visual accompaniment. Sweeping at some points, and minimal at others, the song is an exciting preview of what’s to come from the band on their next LP. Listen below.
