Watch Broken Bells Cover The Beatles' "And I Love Her" on Letterman

Watch Broken Bells cover The Beatles' "And I Love Her" alongside vintage footage of Ringo Starr on the "Late Show with David Letterman."

This week marks the 50th anniversary of when The Beatles came to the United States for the first time and performed on the Ed Sullivan Show, one of the most iconic moments in television history. To honor the anniversary, in lieu of performing new material from their just released album, Broken Bells took to the David Letterman stage for a memorable cover of The Beatles’ “And I Love Her.” Beginning with vintage footage of Ringo Starr on the drums, it glides into James Mercer sounding almost unmistakably like Paul McCartney with his partner in crime Danger Mouse giving the cover the duo’s unique Broken Bells sound.

Watch their cover of “And I Love Her” above. Broken Bells’ new album After the Disco is out today.
