Sisyphus (Sufjan Stevens, Son Lux, and Serengeti) - "Alcohol"

Sisyphus —aka Sufjan Stevens, Son Lux, and Serengeti—have previewed album closer "Alcohol" with quite possibly the most obtuse lyric video of all time.

Sisyphus – aka Sufjan Stevens, Son Lux, and Serengeti – will be releasing their self-titled debut album on March 18 to accompany an art display by Jim Hodges. The album is partially influenced by Hodges’ work, and that’s never been more clear than with their latest “lyric video.” Closing track “Alcohol” has been previewed with quite possibly the most obtuse lyric video of all time, in that the lyrics all appear at once for a very short time.

But the main focus here is the music, and “Alcohol” is just as enjoyable as you would come to expect from such a collaboration. Featuring Sufjan’s sense of the grandiose, Son Lux’s epic production, and Serengeti’s surreal lyrics; “Alcohol” brings out the worst of Serengeti’s demons, but the best of all three contributor’s talents.
