Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman Karen O was one of the many artists featured on the soundtrack for Spike Jonze’s Her, with her contribution, “The Moon Song,” even garnering her an Oscar nomination for Best Original Song. Originally, the song was rather stripped down, as Karen O told Rolling Stone that it was recorded at her dining room table. Today, we get a new, more fine-tuned version of the swoony love song, featuring vocals from Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig. According to Karen:

I wrote the song as a duet. I was really excited at the prospect of getting to record it with a male vocalist. Ezra was super cool and open, he slipped into character like a champ and damn he’s got the goods. Singing this song with Ezra felt like fulfilling a wish of my die-hard romantic junior high self.

Karen also recently collaborated on a new song with The Walkmen’s Walter Martin called “Sing To Me.” Listen to both tracks below.
