If you caught Halls‘ “Aside” on Pigeons & Planes last weekend and loved the gentle, rustic charm of the song, you’re in for a treat. And if you missed your first chance to enjoy the young London artist’s beautiful, billowing sounds, now is the time to correct that error. Love to Give, the second album from Sam Howard under the name Halls, is an engrossing and bewitching listen, which mixes some of the choral arrangements that were so prevalent on his debut album Ark with much more pronounced guitar and drum parts.
