Post-Valentine’s Day blues? Don’t fret; this week’s electronic music selections should perk you up… or keep you depressed. I don’t know. I don’t like the idea that EDM is relegated to “SHINY HAPPY FUN TIME MUSICS.” It can get moodier than that, especially when there are no words to explain feels. This selection does run the gamut, though, and there might even be a few “love” songs in here.
Beyonce – “Drunk In Love (Diplo Remix)”
This is huge. Possibly the best remix of anything Beyonce-related since that album dropped. Diplo comes correct with a fat-bottomed trap beat.
Do Androids Dance x TrapDoor – “U.K Meets U.S”
Keeping it trap for a second, DAD linked with TrapDoor to bring you a seven-track free EP of trap artists from both sides of the Atlantic. Different waves, if you will.
David Heartbreak’s “The Love Movement”
David Heartbreak linked up with a bunch of his friends to give away a fresh free compilation. This is chock full of vibes; come get you some.
Four40 Records Presents Chapter One
The Four40 crew have been putting out bits up and down the bass music realm, and this week they gave back in the form of a six-track free EP. The first tune is the tits, but the rest is just as nice.
Tourist ft. Will Heard – “I Can’t Keep Up”
Tourist doesn’t disappoint; maybe that’s why Disclosure snapped him up for their Method imprint.
Route 94 ft. Jess Glynne – “My Love (Royal-T Remix)”
Royal-T might be one of the best in that massive bass-drive house/garage sound. That Midas touch. Just peep how he remixed “My Love.”

Kidnap Kid – “Stronger”
Six minutes of excellence right here. Kidnap Kid’s a name you need to keep your ears on, trust.
Monsieur Monsieur – “Lucid (Jimmy Edgar Remix)”
A hypnotic, tech-infused piece from the MAJIC man.
Moves Like Ms. Jackson
This landed in the DAD inbox anonymously (although it’s being attributed to a mysterious producer named Z); whatever the case may be, this OutKast flip has everyone going nutty.
WET – “Don’t Wanna Be Your Girl (Branchez Remix)”
Some post-Valentine’s Day posivibes from the mighty Branchez.
Petey Clicks – “Magic Words”
Clicks & Whistles are known for their trap exploits, but when Petey Clicks goes solo, he brings a brilliant mixture of house music with hip-hop tendencies. His second EP for AC Slater’s Party Like Us imprint contains this gem.
Plastician’s Welcome to Atlantis Mix for Lexdray
I had this mix playing while I was fighting with my bathroom sink the other night. It helped me from not murdering my entire bathroom when this shitty fixture wouldn’t come out. Loads of beautiful bass musics. Drink wine to this.
