Video: Wild Beasts - "Wanderlust"

Praise the music Gods.

Wild Beasts are back with a new album for 2014, a long three years after their last album, 2011’s dainty, daring Smother. “Wanderlust” was premiered on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show a little earlier today, as the “hottest record in the world,” and it incorporates all that the British band do so well, from Hayden Thorpe’s theatrical delivery to the poetic lyrics and glistening melodies. Wild Beasts make unashamedly arty indie-pop, and their last two albums have been somewhat under-appreciated, especially outside the UK. Here’s hoping the same will not in 2014.

Listen to “Wanderlust” above, which comes with a video directed by Barcelona-based collective NYSU.
