Video: Chromeo ft. Toro y Moi - "Come Alive"

Watch Chromeo's new video for "Come Alive" featuring Toro y Moi.

For Chromeo’s wonderfully funky collaboration with Toro y Moi “Come Alive,” yesterday the duo decided to premiere the song’s video the unconventional way. As Mashable reports, Chromeo turned to Shazam for the music app’s first video premiere in which fans were asked to listen to “Come Alive” on SoundCloud, Shazam the song, and then the “Come Alive” video would appear in the Shazam newsfeed. We’ll give it to Chromeo for the creativity and innovation, but the kinks in the concept are a bit obvious.

The visuals, on the other hand, are just as infectious as the song as we see a group of robotic, sexy dancers follow Chromeo’s Dave 1 around an empty mall after he gets stood up for a date. Meanwhile P-Thugg, playing a mall security cop, watches on surveillance cameras. Eventually, both Toro y Moi’s Chaz Bundick, playing a janitor, and P-Thugg get in on the action.

Wach the video above. Chromeo’s White Women will be out this spring.

RIDICULOUS ALBUM RELEASE STRATEGIES THAT MIGHT ACTUALLY WORK IN 2014
