Tri Angle Records signee Sd Laika has let loose a 14-minute mix of his own production, entitled Idiot Thug. The mix doesn’t stray too far from the dark, experimental material of other Tri Angle artists like Evian Christ or Haxan Cloak, but remains compelling nonetheless. Featuring demented and obstreperous soundscapes that borrow as much from Oneohtrix Point Never as they do Arca (who similarly released a whole EP’s worth of original material in a mix), the 15-minute mix acts as a teaser for his upcoming release on the label, who have put out music from Clams Casino, Balam Acab, and even AlunaGeorge.
