The duo of The Shins‘ James Mercer and producer Danger Mouse, are releasing their second album as Broken Bells on February 4. Hopes are high for the album, especially off the strength of singles “Holding On For Life” and “After The Disco,” with the former having been remixed by Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ guitarist Nick Zinner. He keeps all those Bee Gees falsetto moments intact, but beefs up the bass and add some electronic flourishes for a glinting, refined remix. Listen below.
