Watch a Short Documentary on Chance The Rapper's Social Experiment Tour

2013 has been a good year for Chance The Rapper. After steadily building a following and gaining attention, this was the year that he made that transition from buzz act to legitimate star, and he delivered on the hype with one of the best albums—even though it was a mixtape—of the year, followed by an impressive tour. He did this all without a label, and in this short documentary, Chance takes a minute to reflect on his year and tease what’s coming next, and he throws in a little nod to James Blake’s “The Wilhelms Scream” while he’s at it.

With little budget, experience or time for preparation, the team and I put together this #SocialExperiment Tour 2013. My first Tour. 43 shows. 18 person crew. 4 piece band. 1 Tour bus. 1 raw ass RV. This video represents positivity, love, friendship, musicianship, support and a whole lot of hard work. Big thanks and a Merry Xmas to every single person that made this possible, and everyone else who supported me like crazy this year.

– Chance
