If you read Pigeons & Planes regularly (or at least have been for the majority of 2013), you might be thinking: wait, again? No, you’re not experiencing déjà vu because back in March, 18-year-old British singer Chlöe Howl did release another video for her infectious single “Rumour.” But while that one was more simple, featuring shots of Howl in front of various green backdrops with flashes of the lyrics on the screen, this revamped version released today is much more polished. And it equates the idea of a rumor with a chess match at some type of corrupt tournament starring Howl as the devious victor.
