On our recent post of music recommendations based on the artists you already like, we recommended Irish MC Rejjie Snow for fans of Tyler, The Creator. It’s an easy comparison—Rejjie’s got the deep voice and a tendency to get dark. But on “Nights Over Georgia,” Rejjie concocts the kind of track you’d expect from DOOM. Right down to the beat switch-up and the choice of words, Rejjie is channeling some truly Villainous tendencies on this one—but he’s doing it sounding like a student, not a cheap imitation—and it works great.
