2013 might be winding down, but the electronic music scene is still bringing the heat. And even though Gesaffelstein hurt me to my heart with the comments he made about the EDM scene (you’d think no one in America is fucking with his music), we will push on. There’s a stench around the word “EDM,” this I know, but if you haven’t learned by now, there are plenty of heads who are in the know. Just check this week’s finds. Thank You Rave God.

Daft Punk ft. Julian Casablancas – “Instant Crush”

Because the best way to illustrate this track was Julian “dancing” and wax figures in love.

Flosstradamus ft. Casino – “Mosh Pit”

Turnt to the max.

Dre Skull ft. Megan James & Popcaan – “First Time (Sinjin Hawke Remix)”

On so many levels, Sinjin Hawke is that dude.

A-Trak & Oliver – “Zamboni”

A refreshing splash of chilled, ’80s-inspired funk.

Drums of Death ft. Azealia Banks & Franklin Fuentes – “FIERCE”

Truth be told, the title of this track is the best way to describe this track.

Purple – “The Club (Shlohmo Remix)”

A subtle turn down for the time being. Shlohmo is always on point.

DJ Snake ft. Alesia – “Bird Machine (Jingle Bells Version)”

Because everyone needs some holiday turn up.

Björk – “All Is Full Of Love (Jerome LOL Edit)”

Björk is the queen of the universe. Jerome made her shine like the proper royalty she is.

Com Truise ft. Joel Ford – “Declination”

Those ’80s drums are so perfect. New Com Truise EP this coming February.

Tensnake ft. Fiora – “No Relief”

Tensnake drops his debut album Glow in March, and Fiora is on like half of it. You should be intrigued.

Usher – “U Don’t Have To Call (Durkin Remix)”

Durkin wins with this mid-tempo bounce reimagining of a throwback Usher song, and the world is better off for it existing.

Jacuzzi – “Exodus”

The future of bass music, today.

Latoya Waxson – “Rent Is Too Damn High”

The most important political figure of the last decade (OK maybe I’m stretching just a bit) gets revitalized through house music.

O.D.B. – “Goin Down (Cobra Krames Remix)”

If you loved ODB’s first album, and the twerk movement of 2013, there’s no way you aren’t smiling when you realize what Krames did here.

Bromance #13

French powerhouse Bromance is back with their 13th single, featuring Birdy Nam Nam’s Little Mike and their latest upstart, Ateph Elidja. It’s intense, and amazing.
