To mark the death of Lou Reed, Twin Shadow recently paid tribute to the rock legend by performing “Perfect Day” for his well-received UNDER THE CVRS series. Adding to that series, today Twin Shadow lays his crisp, deep vocals over U2’s somber love song “With or Without You” from their classic 1987 album The Joshua Tree. While the original relies on a heavy bass line to set its tone, Twin Shadow instead gives the song an echoey electronic synth update similar to Depeche Mode’s style with moments of Auto-Tuned vocal manipulation. Keeping a steady stream of new music consistently coming, Twin Shadow was also recently featured on the song “Sleepless” off Flume’s new Deluxe Edition mixtape.
