If director Nicolas Winding Refn (the mind behind Drive and Only God Forgives) needs a new muse, electronic duo Kaleida (vocalist Christina Wood and keyboardist/producer Cicely Goulder) might hold the key. New single “Think” (formerly a YouTube demo that got pulled for an extra layer of polish, according to Hilly Dilly) showcases the London-based group’s particular brand of slinky, sparse synth pop, stripped down to its catchy essentials, a bouncing melody and light percussion underlying Wood’s enchanting voice. The accompanying video matches the song’s aesthetic perfectly, stark and stripped down, focusing on Kaleida’s performance and a few particularly striking images. A promising indicator of what’s to come.
