British producer Sivu has made major strides in recent months by signing to Atlantic and supporting London Grammar on their fall tour. He’s also gotten to the point where other artists are starting to remix his work, starting with this twisted reimagining of “I Lost Myself.”
Multi-instrumentalist Cosmo Sheldrake is behind the remix, and he does a fine job blending Sivu’s breathy vocals and wandering acoustic guitar with synths and samples that are a good bit darker than their counterparts. But the collaboration works, and Sheldrake brings a driving, out-front intensity to Sivu’s subdued tones. Stream the remix below:
