Normally, when you hear Jónsi‘s voice, it’s in the context of lush, boiling arrangements and grandiose production of his solo work or that of Sigur Rós. On “Ilsa Drown,” Death Vessel enlists Jónsi for a duet, and while it builds, it keeps things placid. It’s no less effective. Listen to the graceful collaboration below and look out for Death Vessel’s album, Island Intervals, out on February 25 via Sub Pop Records.
