Kele Okereke may be best known as the frontman for the high-energy rock of Bloc Party, but it sounds like he’s heading in a different direction for his upcoming solo work. Kele is set to release a four-song EP all by his lonesome, and you can hear the title track “Heartbreaker” below.
It’s a definite departure from his work with Bloc Party, house music through and through. It’s set to be released via Crosstown Rebels on November 25, and Kele had this to say when asked about the project:
I’ve always loved the inclusive and spiritual nature of house music, so the opportunity to make music for the most iconic and influential house music label in the UK is a dream come true for me.
