Over the weekend, Neil Young hosted his annual all-star Bridge School Benefit shows in Mountain View, CA. As always, the benefit spanned two days, but before the night of the second show we all received some unexpected news: Lou Reed died. My Morning Jacket—one of the many bands performing over the weekend—has been known to cover the Velvet Underground‘s 1970 anthem “Oh! Sweet Nuthin” live, but last night the song took on greater weight. With the help of Neil Young, Elvis Costello, and Jenny Lewis, the quintet performed a nearly 10-minute-long rendition of the song in honor of the great Mr. Reed. Watch a video above.
