Video: MØ - "Never Wanna Know"

‘s electronic pop is the stuff of doe-eyed drama, plucky basses and programmed drums hammering away under Karen Marie Ørsted’s sultry, mournful voice. It’s not exactly what you’d expect out of Denmark—unless you were wise to the Scandanavian musical renaissance happening in Northern Europe. The video released today for “Never Wanna Know,” however, is exactly the kind of lovely weird you’d expect out of Denmark.

It’s a collage of images: two Ørsteds in crossed arms and leather against a green screen, stock footage of airplanes winding down, ringing bells, fat men playing xylophones, three Ørsteds in crossed arms and leather against a green screen, and rain falling on a pond. It is so weird. It is so awesome.
