Chicago production duo Supreme Cuts had previously been working purely on hip-hop beats and synth heavy instrumental tracks, but, for their upcoming album, the duo are exploring new sounds and territories, enlisting vocalists like Poliça’s Channy Leaneagh on previously released “Envision” and Mahaut Mondino on new one “Gone.” The song orbits around Mondino’s soulful vocals, and although there are still elements from the duo’s hazy hip-hop production, this is certainly more R&B than anything else.
