Listen to James Murphy's Remix of David Bowie's "Love Is Lost"

None

LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy has turned “Love Is Lost,” from David Bowie’s surprise 2013 comeback album The Next Day, into a 10-minute journey that references, both in name and sound, composer Steve Reich’s minimalist composition “Clapping Music.” While there is a lot more going on in this remix than in Reich’s piece (which is performed entirely by two people clapping), it does take a while to get going, although it’s well worth waiting through (or skipping, if you so wish) the drawn out opening three or four minutes in order to enjoy the latter stages.
