Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes has teamed up with British producer Jon Hopkins, who also collaborated with Purity Ring earlier in the year, for a one-off track for Kevin McDonald’s new film How I Live Now. On paper, the collaboration makes great sense, and the results are as good as one might expect, with Hopkins’ moodily propulsive production providing the perfect backdrop for Khan’s soaring vocals.
Jon Hopkins is scoring the film, while the soundtrack features music from Daughter and Nick Drake. Watch the video for “Garden’s Heart,” which was directed by Khan herself and features actress Saoirse Ronan, below.
