“Yet another fairly mysterious band fronted by a siren voiced female, making slow-building, haunting pop music,” is what I wrote when introducing London Grammar with “Hey Now” back at the end of 2012, and exactly the same can be said of London band Vaults today. Like some sort of musical circle of life, as London Grammar prepare to release their debut album (out September 9) and are riding high, Vaults drop their spine-tingling debut “Cry No More,” a song that suggests a bright future could be ahead for the currently unknown band.

With the twinkling glockenspiel giving the production a magical quality, and a powerful mid-section giving the lead singer a chance to show off her powerful vocals, “Cry No More,” is a mature, promising debut from Vaults. Listen below.
