2. Connan Mockasin - "Megumi The Milky Way Above"

Thom & Kevin say: "I am in love with this entire record and cannot recommend it enough. This is the first song I had ever heard by Connan and I remember feeling like I had never heard anything like it in my entire life. I listened to it about 15 times in a row. I'm not sure what planet Connan lives on, but I want to disappear and live there myself."

3. Twin Sister - "Meet the Frownies"

Thom & Kevin say: "I recently heard Twin Sister is working on a new record, so I decided to revisit this one. It's hard to pick a song by them because every song is stupid good, but this one is absolute perfection. I am jealous."

4. Kurt Vile - "KV Crimes"

Thom & Kevin say: "Great track off the newest record by probably one of the coolest voices in music coming out now. Really awesome and unique guitar style too. We got to play with them a month or so ago, which was a real treat."

5. Wall of Death - "Marble Blues"

Thom & Kevin say: "We recently were loading our gear out after a festival in Paris and heard a band playing off in the distance from a different stage. All of us really dug the sounds we were hearing from the other stage and, despite no one knowing what band it was, we all wished we could ditch our gear-loading duties to watch the band instead. While we missed the show, we later looked up the band via their set time and found out it was Wall of Death. Great heavy psych band. And you can't go wrong with a name like Wall of Death either."

6. Fugazi - "Argument"

Thom & Kevin say: "Title track off one of our collective favorite records of all time. Beginning to end, one of the best records."

7. Jeremy Jay - "Airwalker"

Thom & Kevin say: "Something about this song always puts me in a good mood and a smile on my face, regardless of the day. When I want to have a good day, I start my day of with this song on the stereo alongside a balanced breakfast and cup of coffee."

8. The National - "Sea of Love"

Thom & Kevin say: "Everything this band puts out is so solid and amazingly beautiful in the most uplifting/sad (yet somehow not a contradiction) way. I love their old records and am digging this new one just as much."

9. Interpol - "Take You On A Cruise"

Thom & Kevin say: "This song has probably one of my favorite basslines of all time. It is such an abstract and syncopated approach from the bass in contrast to the guitar chords. And the song is a perfect example of what Interpol do best–craft a great song that makes you sad yet want to dance at the same time."

10. Aesop Rock - "Gopher Guts"

Thom & Kevin say: "The final track off what was probably my favorite record of 2012. I listened to nothing but Skelethon for probably a solid month after I first heard it. The lyrics to this entire album are fantastically unique–full of poetic metaphor and obscure references that reveal themselves with every repeated listen and keep you coming back for more."

11. The United States of America - "The Garden of Earthly Delights"

Thom & Kevin say: "The United States of America are one of the best kept secrets of 60's music. Super psychedelic, space-age synth-y, eerie vocal delivery, and way ahead of its time."
