If the movie Drive was a bit too serious for your taste, but the idea of a maniacal, steel-jawed, silent hero saving damsels in distress strikes your fancy, the new clip for Kavinsky‘s “Odd Look” (the original version with Sebastian, not the Weeknd remix) should satisfy your needs. When knife-wielding ne’er-do-wells assault a waitress about to end her night at a diner, Kavinsky swoops in (in his signature Ferrari Testarossa), starts throwing garbage cans, dodging bullets, and generally kicking ass. It’s an entertaining narrative clip that doesn’t overstay its welcome, a reminder that even a time-worn story can be worth watching when told with a bit of humor and visual flare.
