After her drama-inducing performance of “We Can’t Stop” at the VMAs, Miley Cyrus reportedly skipped her own after party for a more important venture—heading to the studio with Kanye West. According to the New York Post, both West and Cyrus left Sunday night’s awards and headed to the studio together to record a remix of West’s first single off Yeezus “Black Skinhead.” As of yet there’s no confirmation from either party, but the the Post reports that the remix is set to be part of an EP of remixes that will be released later this year.

Instead of performing “Black Skinhead” at the VMAs, West reportedly changed his mind at the last minute and opted for the haunting “Blood on the Leaves,” which he performed mostly in shadow behind a photograph of trees. The full explanation of the photo’s significance is available here. Is Kanye really co-signing Miley’s ascent into hip-hop culture? Let us know what you think in the comments and on Twitter—this one is sure to start more debate around her controversial cross over.
