The music Cameron Mesirow makes as Glasser at times feels warm and personal, and at others icy cold and distant. “Shape” is a haunting exercise in chilly synths and soaring vocals, with hypnotic production that threatens to overwhelm Mesirow’s questioning, plaintive vocals. With such a trippy, shape-shifting video to accompany it, and little quirks that only become apparent on multiple listens, you may well be stuck in front of your computer getting lost in Glasser’s world for a while.
Glasser’s second album will be released via True Panther this Autumn.
