Diplo Wants to Break Twerking Record, Dentist Wants to Clone John Lennon From his Tooth

We see a lot of really random shit every week. Deciding what to post and what to ignore is a constant balancing act that requires much skill, judgment, and discretion. Sometimes it depends on how drunk we are or how trollish we're feeling. Instead of simply letting these things pass us by, we decided to keep track of them and gather them all together for this post, which we'll do weekly. These are the kinds of things P&P writers email each other like, "ROFL omg WOW." Welcome to the party.

2. Drake was sued by a stylist for $76,000 worth of unpaid shopping bills

There are not many rappers who have style that's on par with Drake's. Cable knit sweaters? Check. Deep v-cut shirts? Yup. Sweater vests? You bet your ass on it. And as much as we'd like to think these outfits are all carefully planned out by Drizzy himself, the rapper actually has a stylist. And now, that stylist is suing him.

According to TMZ, Michael Raphael is suing Drake for $76,490 in unpaid dues that include consulting services, hotel bills, plane tickets, and shopping expenses. Okay, honestly there's more to the story but I can't get over the fact that Drake has a stylist! Like he pays someone—or did, guess he kinda forgot the last few payments which is how he got into this position—to look like this:

SMH. Drake you should've fired him the minute he let you wear a Dada shirt. Then you wouldn't even be in this mess.

4. Lance Bass discusses the VMAs, Miley and those 'NSYNC reunion rumors

After the biggest night in probably both mine and Chris Kirkpatrick's lives when 'N SYNC reunited at this year's VMAs, everyone was buzzing. Would this mean an official 'N SYNC reunion? Would they be touring more? Would Joey Fatone ever get back in shape? No one knew.

Okay, that's not totally true. Lance Bass knew. And the news... wasn't good. Again, Bass crushed all my hopes and dreams and revealed that there were no plans for any more 'N SYNC shows. The singer told the AP:

"Who knows what will happen when he's off tour. It's simply not part of the conversation right now. We just focused on that one performance," Bass said. "If we did anything like that, I think we would come up with something real special where we could actually call it 'The Reunion.'"

Oh would you Lance? You'd call it "The Reunion?" Please, tell me more about this super creative and original idea you have. Here's the thing Lance, while you were off trying to go to space, Timberlake was dancing creative circles around you. Don't disrespect the man by calling your reunion tour "The Reunion."

6. Jay Pharoah made an "I Am A Dog" parody and it's awesome

It was only a matter of time until someone flipped Kanye West's "I Am A God" into some sort of parody. And while I was sitting and praying for the person behind the parody to be Weird Al, SNL's Jay Pharoah has instead stepped up to the plate and delivered "I Am A Dog." It doesn't disappoint. Your move, Yankovic.

8. Diplo is attempting to break twerking world record

Further capitalizing on this year's twerk takeover, Diplo is attempting to break a world record this weekend... for twerking. In a video posted to his Instagram, the DJ/producer stated that he is trying to get together the most people twerking at the same time during Electric Zoo in New York City. Hey Diplo, we doubt your fans will have any problems with a bunch of people twerking at the same time, but this kid is NOT happy about it:

10. Some crazy dentist wants to clone John Lennon from one of his molars

Canada gets a bad rap—for its bacon, hockey, Degrassi... the the list goes on. But if they thought things were a struggle for them before, they have a whole new set of problems on their hands thanks to this one crazy dentist who wants to clone John Lennon from one of his rotten molars that he won at an auction for $31,200. Which would be weird in it of itself, but this guy also has a whole website dedicated to his endeavor. The site is tacky as hell and looks a lot like the first LiveJournal I ever made, but the best part is at the bottom:

"Copyright JOHNLENNONTOOTH.COM" Like LOL bro, who do you think is trying to take THIS domain? Can you imagine if there was some John Lennon fanatic in the middle of nowhere, America who woke up and was like, "Today's the day Frank. Today's the day you're finally going to make that website dedicated to John Lennon's perfect, perfect tooth." And then he sits down at his computer and starts to fill out a GoDaddy form to buy the domain JOHNLENNONTOOTH.COM and gets the message, "We're sorry, but that URL is taken." And he starts having a complete meltdown, just muttering to himself, "I told you Frank, you should've done it last week when Who Wants To Be a Millionaire was a repeat but noooo, you just had to sit there like a glutton. You just had to put it off a few more days and now look where you're at. Alone and with no John Lennon tooth fansite. This is your life Frank, you chose this. You. Chose. This."

13. Drake's dad will be featured on "Nothing Was The Same"

If you were unimpressed with Drake's line-up on Nothing Was The Same, Drizzy hears you and he wants to help. Which is why he's recruited his dad for one of the songs on the album. In an outtake with XXL, Drake tells the mag:

My dad is a star, that’s what you have to understand. I can call my dad right now and be like, “Yo, dad, I need you to fly to shoot.” He’s always down. I’m living my dad’s dream. My dad wanted to be a famous singer. I have my dad on another bonus record on the album called “Heat Of The Moment.”
