Blaenavon’s opening salvo of “Into The Night / Denim Patches” showed us a young band full of potential and promise. The British trio are all still teenagers, and while the influences of bands like Foals are evident, the band’s originality far outweighs those influences, with the interplay between the pummelling percussion and quieter, gentler passages keeping the song interesting throughout.
