Willis Earl Beal - "Too Dry to Cry"

None

Avant-folk singer/songwriter Willis Earl Beal previously announced the release of his sophomore album Nobody Knows alongside the first single “Everything unwinds.” Now, the second installment from his record has surfaced, and “Too Dry to Cry” builds upon his dirge-like soulful rhythms and blatant, kick-stomped lyrics.

The song laments a sadness so deep that there’s no tears left—if anyone can make this sentiment sound believable, it’s Willis. There’s also a comparison between a certain part of Beal’s body and, uh, a pitchfork prong—I can’t make this kind of NSFW comparison up. They call it outsider art for a reason I guess, then again, that’s no more lewd than anything else. Stream the track below and look for his second album out on September 10.
