“Someday” is the debut single of singer/songwriter Eddie Gomez, and it’s a great introduction. The track was produced by Captain Cuts (Grouplove, Smallpools), and it succeeds in blending the accessibility of a pop hit with a bluesy, soulful stomp that you don’t usually get with songs this catchy. The Portland-raised, Los Angeles-based singer’s parents traveled the country as folk dancers, but “Someday” is a welcome modern twist on his musical roots.
