Last year we included Dominic Lord in our lists of artists to watch in 2013. Based on the first half of this year, it seemed like maybe we made a mistake. He’s been practically silent since January.
Today, Lord dropped “Overworld.” After hearing the beat for the first time, he immediately went to the studio and wrote this song in 30 minutes. It’s one of his most fully realized songs yet (he hasn’t been making music for long), and more reason to be excited: Vogue says he’s working with Hudson Mohawke and Stargate.
