Even on his simplest flows, lyrics, and productions, Dominic Lord‘s forward-thinking vision comes through. “Futuristic Average Kids Freestyle” doesn’t feel as complete as Lord’s last cut, “Overworld,” and we wouldn’t be surprised to hear that he put it together in 30 minutes. Even if that’s the case, the direction is there, and Lord’s effortless cool puts him far ahead of most new artists.
