If you’ve not had the genuine pleasure of seeing Majical Cloudz in concert, this is probably the next best thing. Singer Devon Welsh recently did a session for La Blogothèque’s Take Away Show, and sang an a capella rendition of “What That Was” on the metro, as well as a moving, piano-driven performance of “Bugs Don’t Buzz.” It’s very similar to what you would experience at one of Majical Cloudz’s shows, with Welsh giving off a nervous, uncertain energy, all the while nailing it vocally.
