Lulu James is a singer from Newcastle who has a soul singer’s voice but chooses to ply her trade singing over powerful electronic production, whether it be the murky thump of “Be Safe” or the low-slung groove of “Stuck.” Her newest single, premiered on Annie Mac’s radio show last night, is the most propulsive track we’ve heard from James so far, with an instantly memorable synth line and a thudding beat that is clearly aimed squarely at the dancefloor.
