Watch a Short Documentary on the Punk Scene in China

Punk didn’t come into prominence in China until the mid-’90s, and while Chinese punk pioneers were listening to acts that talked about the U.K. in the ’70s, a lot of the feelings that punk represented were exactly what young people in China in the ’90s felt like they needed. In this short documentary, The Guardian explores the punk scene in China and talks to some of the people involved from the start, including Johnny Lydon, who recently visited for a Public Image Ltd show.
