Last time we heard from Sami it was with the haunting cover of Willie Nelson’s “Crazy,” and now the Hermosa Beach songstress is offerring up her first official single and video with “Go On Darling.”
Sami spent a year studying music therapy and volunteering at a home for people suffering from schizophrenic and bipolar disorder as the principle music therapist, and after one listen to her new single, that makes perfect sense. Over trickling electronics, Sami’s voice is sweet and hypnotizing—a welcoming introduction to an artist we’ll happily keep our ears open for.
New Hollyrock artist Sami’s first single and video, “Go On Darling,” off her forthcoming debut EP. The song was co-written and produced by Troublemaker (King Fantastic, Rad Omen), and the video was directed and shot by Brazilian duo Arthur Rosa França and Lili Fialho.
