From the combined efforts of Grouplove and Captain Cuts comes this bright-eyed and bushy-tailed remix of Imagine Dragons’ “Radioactive.” Maybe it’s the sunshine in the air, but now’s the best time of year to be listening to these glory-and-light huse remixes. Cuts’ fuzzy synths match up beautifully with  some chimes and Dan Reynolds’ anguished growls. But what stands out on this track is actually empty space – the little pauses in between phrases become all the more powerful when they’re filled, keeping things lively and ratcheting up expectations for the next drop. That play between anticipation and realization is what good dance music should do. That’s what this song does. This song is good dance music.
